ABOUT US
MEET THE HOPE FAMILY
A Classic story of city boy, meets country girl.
We’re Dan and Rebecca Hope. We are university sweethearts that met at the University of Waterloo while studying Environmental Studies.
With both of our backgrounds in environmental studies, we have always had an interest and passion for the outdoors. In our 3rd year of university we were asked to help out at a family run Christmas tree farm and immediately fell in love. We knew this is what we’d end up doing some day!
After starting our family in 2002 in Oshawa, ON, we decided to take the leap and buy a small farm in nearby Enniskillen. Saying it was a fixer upper is an understatement but with an 18th century brick farmhouse and an 18th century bank barn high on the Oak Ridges Moraine with a view that’s to die for, we knew we were up for the task!
In 2010 we planted our first tree and for the last 10 years, our blood, sweat and tears have been poured into that field. We've invested all of our time (when we aren't driving our 3 boys to every hockey town in Ontario) and money into growing and maintaining the trees so we could make our dreams a reality.
We officially opened on November 15th, 2020 and have been focusing on expanding our offerings ever since!
